Artist-in-Residence Yorii
To invite three artists from abroad, two from Germany, one from USA and one from Japan to have them create their work in Yorii for the exhibition “The Kura and Contemporary Art 2022” (pamphlet of 2021 is available) in Kawagoe city, Saitama. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the city.
埼玉県川越市で開催される展覧会「TheKuraandContemporary Art 2022」（2021年のパンフレットあり）に寄居町で作品を制作してもらうため、海外から3名、ドイツ2名、アメリカ1名、日本1名を招聘。 市の100周年を記念して。

- Application will be judged and selected by Professor Sato Tokihiro of Tokyo University of the Arts.

Project
- Participating artists will produce works in Yorii-machi, Saitama with the duration of 48days.
- 参加アーティストは、埼玉県寄居町で48日間の作品を制作します。
- Works made in Yorii will be transported to Kawagoe city.
- 寄居町で作られた作品は川越市に運ばれます。
- The venue used for the exhibition will be historical buildings/gardens in Kawagoe. Artists will go to Kawagoe to see the facility/venue and make a request of area where they wish to exhibit their work.
- 展示会場は川越の歴史的建造物・庭園となります。 アーティストは川越に行って施設・会場を見学し、作品を展示したい場所をリクエストします。
- The facility cannot be used without the consent of the facility operator, thus it is necessary to explain the exhibition image to the facility operator at the place of use. Each artist must submit the image and method of your work in sketch and in writing.
- 施設運営者の同意なしに施設を利用することはできませんので、使用場所の施設運営者に展示画像を説明する必要があります。 各アーティストは、スケッチと書面で作品の画像と方法を提出する必要があります。
- The organizing committee will also decide whether there are any dangers in exhibiting one’s artwork.
- 組織委員会は、作品を展示することに危険があるかどうかも決定します。
Participation conditions

- You can stay at the guesthouse from September 15th to November 15th, 2022.
- 2022年9月15日から11月15日までゲストハウスに滞在できます。
- Meals and foods are not included but will provide self-cooking facility.
- 食事と食べ物は含まれていませんが、自炊設備を提供します。
- We give 300,000 yen for the work production cost. (payment in 2 times)
- 作品制作費として30万円を差し上げます。 （2回払い）
- Transportation from your country to Yorii, everyday meals and daily needs must be paid individually.
- あなたの国から寄居町への交通手段、毎日の食事と必要なものは個別に支払う必要があります。
- We can lend simple tools. If needed, please fill in the designated place on the application form for specific tools and materials in advance.

- Cost incurred must be paid by the artist

Requirement for participation
参加要件
- Production period is from September 15 to November 02, 2022
- 制作期間は2022年9月15日から11月2日までです。
- Artwork is prohibited to use fire, liquids and/or strong smelling materials.
- アートワークは、火、液体、および/または臭いの強い素材を使用することが禁じられています。
- We are not responsible for any damage or loss of your artwork during the exhibition. Please take care of your artwork on your own.
- 展示会中のアートワークの損傷や紛失について、当社は責任を負いません。 自分で作品の世話をしてください。
- Self-performing artwork is NOT permitted for a security reason.
- セキュリティ上の理由から、自己実行型のアートワークは許可されていません。
- Clean up the venue/your exhibited area after the exhibition. We ask all the de-installations done by the artists themselves.
- 展示会終了後、会場/展示エリアを清掃してください。 アーティスト自身によるすべての削除をお願いします。
- We will charge the cost of disposals if any left at your venue.
- 会場に残っている場合は、処分費用を請求させていただきます。
- Must help the venue duty during the exhibition. (Traveling from Yorii machi to Kawagoe city is by train)
- 展示会中の会場の義務を支援する必要があります。 （寄居町から川越市までは電車で）
- Participation of local workshops and events in Yorii machi is required.
- 寄居町での地元のワークショップやイベントへの参加が必要です。
Insurance
保険
- We have insurance for body injury liability and property damage liability inside the venue during the exhibition period.
- 会期中の会場内での怪我・損害賠償責任保険に加入しております。
- This does NOT cover illness and any accidents outside of the venue. We strongly recommend all artists to have travel insurance on their own.
- これは、病気や会場外での事故には適用されません。 すべてのアーティストが自分で旅行保険に加入することを強くお勧めします。

- If the artist needs to stay in a hotel designated by the Japanese government to ensure the safety of COVID virus, we will pay the actual accommodation fee up to 200,000yen for that time of stay.
- COVIDウイルスの安全を確保するため、日本政府指定のホテルに滞在する必要がある場合は、実際の宿泊費を20万円までお支払いいただきます。
